Energy Block Postures
This group of asanas are concerned with improving the energy flow within the body and breakdown neuro-muscular knots, especially in the pelvic region where the energy tends to stagnate.
These asanas also eliminate energy block in the spine, activate the lungs and heart and improve endocrine function.
They make the body agile, flexible, supple; ready for the dynamic and static asanas that will be covered in this course as well as in the next levels.
Four instincts govern the behavior of all lives except humans beings. There is a possibility to go beyond the influence of instincts that would otherwise restrict human life into life of animalistic tendencies. Most humans spend most of their time in such state, under the control of the instincts.
The urino-genetal region happens to be the instinct nucleus of the body. In yogic view too, this is the location of both Mooladhara and Swadishtana chakras! The practices of PMA – 3 are effective in converging and awakening prana in this area.
The practices also unblock flow of prana in this region, hence allowing practitioners to have better understanding and reign over the instincts.
