A whopping 494 out of 500. That’s how much Chennai-based Varsha Vivek scored in the Class 12 CBSE board exam. We chat with this young achiever…
How did you react when you saw your marks?
To be honest, I did not expect to score such high marks. I dedicate this to my parents and my teachers at Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidyashram.
Some stay up late and study, others wake up early. What did you do?
Actually, I did neither. I tend to sleep a lot and need my 8-9 hours of sleep daily. However, I did study close to seven hours every day.
Your mother Sumithra is a yoga instructor. Did yoga help you in your preparation?
Oh yes. I have been regularly practising yoganidra, which my mother taught me. Usually, a person sleeping for two hours will have, perhaps, just an hour of effective sleep. But if you do yoganidra, it helps you to have an uninterrupted and fulfilling sleep. That helped me concentrate on my studies.
