The sanskrit name Surya here refers to the sun & namaskara means salutations. Surya Namaskara has been handed down from the enlightened sages of the Vedic Age.

Surya Namaskara is a complete sadhana, spiritual practice in itself, for it includes asanas, pranayama, mantra and meditation techniques.

Surya Namaskara can be practiced at several levels of intensity from being a simple exercise to an intense meditation.

In this course the simple practice of Surya Namaskara will be introduced. All the desired qualities of physical fitness(Flexibility, Strength, Endurance and Agility) can be developed through the practice of Surya Namaskara.
