When the whole world was scorched by the atrocities of Surapadma! all pious people, tapasvis, sages, prayed to Lord Shiva to give them some light, some way out of the unbearable predicament! Lord Shiva called for Karthikeya from his manas and brought him to the world through his Divya Chakshu! Karthikeya is the Manasa Putra of Lord Shiva! He was fire himself. Even Agni could not bear his heat and handed over him to Ganga and hence he was Ganga Putra. Karthikeya is the Guru of Gurus. He instructed Lord Shiva on Pranava!
Today 21/11/2025, happens to be that auspicious Krittika Nakshatram in which Karthikeya was brought into this bramhanda as a Manasa Putra for removing darkness and giving wisdom. The Asuric nature of Sefishness is destroyed by the blemishless nature, by Gnana Skanda!
We are so fortunate to live in this world, when another Manasa Putra is living in this world! Yes in this Kali Yuga, we have a Manasa Putra, who is blemishless like Skanda, who has befriended Agni, so much that Agni became his companion for twelve years.
It is a unique period when the Manasa Putra of Lord Shiva stood as a protection and guide to another Manasa Putra during his Panchagni Sadhana.
Swami Niranjan – Manasa Putra of Sri Swami Satyananda
Those of you who would have witnessed the Panchagni Sadhana, can recall now! Swami Niranjan, his friend Agni and Karthikeya, were there throughout and it appeared as if the place was filled with creation’s three purest fires!
Two Manasa Putras in one place! Both of them seated on the banks of Ganga! Just being able to know that such a combination manifested when Gnanagni Swaroopa Karthikeya, Swami Niranjan and Agni were keeping company to destroy all the darkness from the minds of people.
When Swami Niranjan embarked on the Arupadai Veedu Yatra with Niranjan Shaktivel, my eyes were filled with precious scenes and the psyche embedded with auspicious impressions.
It was during the Arupadai Veedu Yatra that it dawned upon us that the Yatra was a proclamation of overcoming the darkness and it appeared as if Skanda was himself traveling to his own padai veedu (places of leela).
It is our good fortune that we could see Sree Swamiji’s Manasa Putra on the Yatra to the Padai Veedu of Shiva Manasa Putra.
It is our realization that “The Manasa Putras aren’t different!”
Aho Baghyam! Aho Baghyam!
