On 12th and 13th April 2025 Swamiji conducted an Experiential Satyananda Yoga Program , to give people of Chennai an opportunity to directly connect with the source of YOGA!
Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati is the spiritual successor of Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati. The new vision given by Swamiji is “Live Yoga from Moment to Moment”.

The two day experiential program gave the registered participants an opportunity to learn directly from one of the most revered Yoga Parampara in the world today. The purpose of this program is to give participants, a connection with the original teachings of Yoga Vidya, to experience the creative and positive aspects, which are at the foundation of ones personality!
The participants who applied did not need to have any prior experience of Yoga! If some exposure was already there or even if they were an experienced Yoga practitioner, the two day guided Experiential Satyananda Yoga Program was of immense and immeasurable value to every participant.
Sannyasi Krishnayogam was given the opportunity to coordinate the Chennai Program. Having worked in Chennai for more than thirty years, three locations in Chennai are attending classes free of cost by Satyam Yoga Trust.

Chennai Program
As guided by Swamiji, simple practices of Asanas and Pranayamas that help in maintaining the health and well being were conducted and it was a beautiful sight. On completion of the morning session, simple and nourishing breakfast was offered to all the thousand people.

Divya Paduka Aradhana.

Sannyasi Krishna Yogam performed the Divya Paduka Aradhana to the chant of Guru Paduka Stotram, Guru Stotram and Sivananda Mangalam.
Sandal paste and Vermillion were offered to the Divya Paduka, Flowers and garlands were offered. Then the incense was waved to the paduka, and the pictures of Swami Sivananda and Swami Satyananda and shaashtaanga pranams were offered.
When Swamiji arrived at the stage, Swamiji also offered Sandal, Vermillion and akshat at the lotus feet of Sri Swamiji before commencement of the session on both the days.
A beautifully prepared garland was offered by Swamiji to the Divya Paduka. Those were precious moments watched over from the close quarters the devotion that Swamiji has for the Guru Parampara!
Morning Mantra – Three Mantra Sadhana
Maha Mrityunjaya, Gayatri and Durga Dwa Trimsan Nama Mala were introduced to all participants.
The sight and vibration of the chanting of the three mantras by a thousand people created a powerful charge in the entire environment of the whole venue.
Sn Vidya Shakti conducted the session on the three mantras, she explained the purpose for which this sadhana has been introduced by Swamiji.
The intricacies of the effect of this sadhana and the way to integrate this into their daily life and how this will have an uplifting impact upon the participants was explained during this session.

Swamiji’s Satsang

Kirtans

When Swamiji arrived in the venue, he was received to the rhythms of the kirtans.
Participants danced in ecstacy as the kirtans were sung and the whole environment was charged with divine exuberance.
Hands clapping to the rhythm, legs dancing in ananda, lips calling out the grace to remain, hearts filled with gratitude, the sense of time, space, matter was absent!
Throughout the day at different times, there was a constant dose of Kirtan Yoga that raised the tempo of the program!
Swamiji’s Satsangs
In this program Swamiji raised the bar of the satsangs to a higher level to suit the participants needs, who were long term and regular practitioners and even initiated in to Mantra, Jignasu or Karma Sannyasa by our Parampara.
Swamiji’s Satsang began with explanation about asanas and pranayama, further Swamiji explained about the role of mantra meditation, Swamiji emphasized the need for Sameeksha Dhyanam.
Swamiji’s emphasis was on aspirants taking responsibility for their mental health. Swamiji explained the milestones of progress from stress to relaxation to pratyahara to dharana to dhyanam.
Reminded all yoga teachers to have the sincerity and truthfulness to remain humble and identify themselves as Yoga Teachers and not try to be a Yoga Guru!

Satyananda Yoga in Chennai & Tamilnadu
Sri Swami Satyananda came to Chennai and travelled to several parts of Tamilnadu for the first time in 1981. Swami Shivaroopananda Saraswati , Paramahamsa Swami Dharma Keerthi Saraswati and Dr.Swatantra Devi were instrumental in inviting Sri Swamiji to Tamlinadu and also to few places in Kerala.
Sri Swamiji sent Swami Gambhirananda Saraswati to continue the contributions to the Southern states. Swami Vajrapani Saraswati also joined the seva initiatives and formed Shiv Darshan Yoga Vidyalaya in Chennai and later established an ashram in Tiruvannamalai
Sannyasi Krishna Yogam is a disciple of Sri Swami Satyananda for over the last forty five years. Sannyasi Krishnayogam has taught in several states across the whole nation in these four decaders. He has established Satyam Yoga Trust and Satyananda Yoga Centre. Teachers trained by him are offering Satyananda Yoga courses in several locations in Chennai.
Sannyasi Shiva Rishi attended a Teachers Training program in Shiv Darshan Yoga Vidyalaya, in the year 2000 and since then has been a disciple of Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati. He founded Satyananda Yoga Centre in Chennai and has been sharing the Yoga Vidya across the state of Tamilnadu and in many parts of India.
