Every year we celebrate the Janmotsav of our Paramesti Guru Swami Sivanandaji’s birth day with great Dedication, Devotion and Gratitude. It has been our good fortune to have received the teachings of such an illustrious tradition.

The celebration starts with a paduka Puja and Guru Aaradhana on 8th September morning and then the Srimad Bhagavatam is being chanted fully through seven days.

It has been an ancient tradition chanting Srimad Bagavatam in seven days. This tradition is known as Saptaha Parayanam!

Swami Sivananda was a great devotee of Sri Hari and greeted every one he met with “Hari OM” or “Namo Narayana”.

At Rikhiapeeth and in Vishwa Yoga Peeth, Bagavada Saptaham parayanam and unpannyasam has been started by Sri Swami Satyananda in honour of his guru.

Bramhasri Damodara Deekshitar a renowned Vedic scholar has been rendering the chanting along with his team of Vedic scholars and delivers lecture in Tamil on SRIMAD BAGAVATAM.
