Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati, our Guru, has given a recommendation for every aspirant to begin the day with the uplifting vibration of the mantras. On waking, even before brushing teeth, the first thing that mind should connect with are mantras!

Mananaat Traayate Iti Mantra is the definition given for the mantra! When remembered it protects one from the influences of life situations! This is the reason why in yoga we have the aspect of mantra.

Mantra shouldn’t be associated with religion! Mantras have existed before the advent of religion. Vedas have existed even before this world has come into existence!

Sound vibrations have existed even before any matter ever was created! We can bring about a transformation in anything only by taking it to its source form, like bangle can be recast into a chain, only after it is converted into its original substance nature GOLD!

Mantras being sound vibrations, the original form of creation, allow fundamental transformation to take place.

Mahamrityunjaya Mantra, Gayatri Mantra and Durga Dvatrimsat Nama Mala, these three mantras are taught to everyone in the basic level course.

Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra

This mantra is a popular mantra, since it is part of Sri Rudra Prasna. Mrityu means death, Mrityunjaya means overcoming the perishable nature and discovering the imperishable.

Every suffering, setback or failure is indeed a small death. Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra gives us the strength to face suffering, setbacks and failures with a sense of maturity and dispassion!

Chanting of Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra gives protection, helps in strengthening Vairagya. Helps one to maintain a positive mental attitude during trying times of life also!
