Sri Lakshmi Narayan Mahayagnya 2025

Sannyasa Peeth celebrated the 15th year of Sri Lakshmi Narayan Mahayagnya, this year in honour of our Paramesti Guru Swami Sivananda and our Paramaguru Sri Swami Satyananda.

Since 2011, from 8th September to 12th September, every year Sri Lakshmi Narayan Mahayagnya is conducted at Sannyasa Peeth! 8th September being Sivananda Janmotsav and 12th September being Sannyas Divas of Sri Swamiji.

Sivananda Janmotsav at SYC

From the year 2005, since we got connected with our Ashram, we observed that Sri Swamiji even in his ripe age, was excited about the celebration of Sivananda Janmotsav. In Rikhiapeet Sri Swamiji had established the tradition of celebrating Sivananda Janmotsav by organising Srimad Bagavad Katha.

We even had the opportunity to participate in Sivananda Janmotsav when Sri Swamiji was living in Rikhiapeeth, his Tapo Bhumi. Inspired by the way Sri Swamiji celebrated Sivananda Janmotsav, Sn Shivrishi has taken a sankalpa to conduct Srimad Baghavata Saptaham for twelve years in honour of our Paramesti Guru Swami Sivananda.

From 2011 till 2020 every year Sivananda Janmotsav has been celebrated at Satyananda Yoga Centre with devotion and with great fervor in honour of Swami Sivananda.
